The Purchases Specialist position at GroWrk Remote is responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The role requires strong analytical skills, communication, and experience in procurement or supply chain management. The ideal candidate should have a background in purchasing, vendor relations, and contract negotiation.
Order Management:
Manage purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Track orders to guarantee timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
Supplier Relations:
Evaluate offers from suppliers and negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
Inventory and Quality Control:
Review the quality of purchased products and coordinate with warehouse staff for proper storage.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to meet organizational requirements.
Collaboration:
Work with other departments (e.g., Sales) to understand and meet their procurement needs.
Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate record-keeping and budget alignment.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze purchasing data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analyses and supplier performance.
2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
Experience negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors and suppliers.
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba) and experience managing purchase orders and invoices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience in an IT or technology-related industry is preferred.
Knowledge of industry trends and regulations related to procurement.
Experience with inventory management and supply chain optimization.
